If you’re interested in data science from the perspective of data protection and privacy, then this is the podcast to go. With an increasing frequency of scandals around an unlawful gathering of data and privacy breaches, improperly trained algorithms, data science ethics has become an increasingly hot topic, which you can no longer ignore. This podcast is dedicated to unveiling the mystery of regulation and legislation of data and ensuring that data scientists do not unintentionally breach the law and damage those they help, gather information from, or work for. Each episode explores a particular area where mistakes have been made and boundaries crossed before so that you know how to avoid potentially dangerous situations. Moreover, the hosts talk to different guests that are experts in their field, so it’s not just 2 hosts talking to each other on every episode, you’ll definitely be exposed to different situations and perspectives. This is a relatively new podcast with the first episode of the show going back to May 2018, so only one and a half years old.

The people behind the Data Science Impostor podcast don’t really look like impostors at all: both Jordy and Antonio have a huge experience in the field and have worked for such gargantuan corporations like Goldman Sachs and Ernst and Young. The show has been running around since 2017, so it’s definitely a mature podcast, considering so many abandoned projects who burned out after a year. The hosts on the show talk to different guests in a data science field about complex subjects surrounding the industry from blockchain to self-driving cars, etc.

The last episodes were dedicated to scaling AI in a company, NLP models, training neural networks, complex video analysis with Videoflow, etc. Definitely worth checking out especially if you don’t have a spare hour on your hands since there are plenty of short and informative episodes available.

    Listen to: iTunes

This is one of the longest-running show on our list with a fist episode going as far back as 2014. Regardless of it being such a mature show, it’s practically impossible to listen to the episodes from the website directly, I assume they have some kind of bug issues, but you still can listen to the show at iTunes, there it all works smoothly, unsurprisingly. The episodes are pretty short, even if Kyle asks guests to join into the conversation, they usually don’t exceed 30 minutes. The latest guests were Tim Niven, Jen Stirrup, and Prasanath Pulavarthi.
